Peach Plumb Pear: August 2009

These past couple weeks I have been feeling really discouraged about work and my photography. I love taking portraits I believe that they are one of the most important tools we have, capturing moments between others. However, I don't get a high off of shooting portraits like I do when I shoot commercially. I have been missing photographing what I love to do. Its the simple things that really touch my soul. I look through Real Simple, any Home and Garden Magazine or anything Martha Stewart and my heart just melts. I am so inspired by photographing beauty. So today is a new day and I am going to stop be discouraged and start a project! Everyday I am going to shoot food, flowers, or products. So I will be doing A LOT of baking! :) Some thing I need practice at! My first shoot was early today....... I took these photos of some buns. Here they are! Enjoy.

Well Ryan and I are all settled in! We love our new home. Our place is filled with so much love! We have some BEAUTIFUL art work around our house! Our friends are so creative and giving! I love that! I wanted to show you some of the things that were given to us!

Jess Allyn and Mary Chrisman

This is Jess! She made me the most beautiful shadow boxes I have ever seen! I started crying when I opened them. Nothing has ever captured my personality so well before. Jess has a beautiful free spirit she has a very unique style that is all her own. She is wonderful!

This is Mary! Mary doesn't even know she is apart of this project BUT she is! Jess used some of Mary's photographs to make my shadow boxes! Mary is so talented! She is one of my very best friends and I wouldn't be who I am today without her in my life. She is one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet. I love this girl!!

Cassie West Krueger!

Cass is my best friend! We have shared some of the best times in the world together, she knows everything about me. Such a great person to have in my life. Her and I understand each other in such a beautiful way. She and I have been friends for almost ten years now! Thats a long time! Ryan and I asked her to paint us something for our new place and she was very excited to do so. Cassie is unlike anyone I have ever met. She is so funny in her own way, she can sing, play the guitar, paint, make clothes, makes the best cards, can mold a person out of clay in three minutes, she also LOVES fishing, playing hockey, wake boarding, tubing, OH and cass has like 13,000 animals. Ranging from Two cats, one dog, a few fish, one Donkey, two or three miniature horses, one normal horse, two ducks and sometimes Thomas the squirrel will make an appearance in the krueger yard! Phew! Anyways her is her LOVELY painting!!

Rachel Farley!!

Ohhh Miss Rachel! What a goofy girl! I love her! I haven't known Rachel very long but from the moment I met her amazing personality I knew we would be friends. She painted us the awesome hot air balloon painting! So great! Ryan and I both LOVE it! It reminds me of the movie UP for some reason. Enjoy!
