Ding Dong Merrily along

Well Christmas happened! I have been at home for six days now and it has been a blast!
Upon arriving here in the cold twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul we took my mom out to lunch right away! The 22nd of december is my mom's birthday! We ate at the best italian food place in probably all of Minnesota  "Cosettas" it was just as I remembered it. Delicious.

From then on I have been spending time with my family which I really needed. We have been playing games, drinking wine and having a great time. I have had three Christmas's this year!
Both of my grandma's houses and one with just my family. They all have been great in there own way.

Also on Tuesday Philip , mom and I went to the Mall Of America ! It was a humorous trip because every one thought philip and I were dating or married and we had to continually say " Nope we are siblings " haha oh well. I guess it makes sense because Philip and Ryan do sorta look a like ....creepy. I think so. (ryan is my boyfriend)

Today I will depart from the twin cities gang and head up north to the even colder Detroit Lakes! Yeppie! I am going to see all my friends!

Thats all for now.

I will put pictures up from christmas soon!

with love,

Bethany Joy

Oh my AshKey

I am sad ! My best friend is leaving today :( . Ashley is leaving the BIG apple and moving to the windy city. I have so many emotions today. Happy , sad, and in a way broken hearted. Let me tell you about my goofy best friend. This girl is one of the funniest people I know.. she makes me laugh over and over and over again until we both are on the floor with tears in our eyes. (Mostly ashley has the tears)! She is a very talented young lady and should check out her website. www.ashleyoverstreet.com ! She is a person I can trust with everything and always tells me the truth. (Something I love in a person) Ashley says the most hilarious one liners out of the blue and they get me every time. I nick named her ashkey one night and it has stuck ever since, funny in know... When I think about all the fun her and I have had just with each other it makes me so happy. Then you add all the fun we have had with other people and it just blows my mind. I am really going to miss Ashley she has brought me so much joy in the past year and a half.... I know our friendship does not end here it can only grow and become stronger and much better.

I love you Ashkey and I hope you have a very bright future in Chicago :)
YOUR MY GIRLLLL!!!!!

Snow!

Today was absolutely beautiful!!!!!!

The snow started to fall in huge clumps and I felt like I was in a magical world.
I love those feelings. The ones of being completely in love with life in one moment.
MMM! So wonderful! I believe life is full of these moments it happens to me everyday.
The first morning I lived in Hoboken I walked down my steps early in the morning and I had a complete " You've got mail " moment. I felt as if I was Meg Ryan or something. Silly I know but it was one of the best feelings I've ever gotten. The feelings also happen when I am on my way to work at about 3:50 through the park by my house and all these energetic kids are running around and having the time of their lives. I love it!

I just really am loving new york city! Ever season has brought me new feelings.
Fall was the best! There was a certain energy in the city and everyone was happy ! The weather was amazing and walking in the city was the best! Here are a few images from when the girls from Rochester came down!

Central Park

Now because it's the christmas season shopping anywhere in Manhattan is stressful and crazy. Macy's of course goes all out. The window displays are pretty neat and the store is flooded with busy shoppers. Honestly I cant stand going in to that place...way to many people in one area.
I can't wait to see what this city is like in Spring! It should be very exciting!

Thats all my thoughts for the evening

See you,

Bethany  Joy

Bethany? Blogging?

Hello Everyone!
Today is a new day! I am very excited to start ( for the first time ) my new blog.
You may be curious about the name of my site " peach plumb pear " ? If you are familiar with the very talented folk singer Joanna Newsom you know what has inspired me! Also peach plumb pear is a symbol for change , and I can tell you my life has been one big change after another.....

Lets start from the very beginning shall we?

First big change #1 : After eight long years and four young boys my parents finally had the girl they had being hoping for :) . Me Bethany Joy. Now my with four amazing other brothers and two wonderful parents my life has been one humors journey. At the exciting age for three my parents decided to make me and the rest of my brothers become " The Haugan Clown Family". From that moment on we would all get dressed up as clowns and go to birthday parties, church picnics, and we even premiered on my great grandma's TV show !
Yup! SOS  "seniors on screen" .... those were the days....

Big change #2: Seventh grade is when I moved to detroit lakes MN... I was extremely upset and hated the fact that I had to move away from all my friends... but in the end good old Detroit Lakes was very worth while. In High school I got involved with every type of theater and was consumed by musicals, plays, and speech. Theater and friends quickly became my life.

Big change #3: Of course after high school there is college and for me I didn't exactly take the easiest road.....I attended " The Hallmark Institute of Photography" a ten month intensive photography course. Honestly the best experience of my life. I met some one the greatest people in the world at that place. The friendships and education I received was absolutely phenomenal ! The down fall is that the school was only ten months so it was short and bittersweet. My friends are now spread all over this great country....California, Oregon,
Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Maryland, South Carolina,New York, Illinois, Minnesota! Wow I have so much traveling to do!!!!

Big change #4: I now live in Hoboken NJ! Just ten shy minutes away from great New York City!! The last six months have been some of the hardest months of my entire life. But things are definitely looking much better and I cant wait to see what else New York City brings me!

Wow so now I hope you feel like you know my whole story!

I will post pictures soon!!

Till then - Bethany
